Hey guys Ben from Carter PT here again.

As you can tell, my fall beard is coming in and it’s looking quite nice. I may just take it all the way to winter time. I don’t know if it’s getting kind of crazy or it’s getting a little “Game of Thrones” esque but halloween is coming up. So it might be a good idea.

Well, I hope all your running is coming along well. We’re about one month into running season so most people are getting in shape and losing some weight. I know I’ve lost about 20 pounds lately but probably you can’t tell from my giant beard.

While my wife is pregnant, I decided I was gonna put on 20-25 pounds which was kind of nice. However, time to lose the weight. It did not feel good. So it feels good trimming down my food intake, cleaning up the diet a bit, and starting to get back into running just a little bit.

But if you’re a runner out there and things are going pretty well, just keep an eye out as that mileage starts to climb 7, 8, 9, or 10 miles that’s when you start to see some injuries in our runners.

We’re a big supporter of Austin Fit and most Saturday mornings we are out there supporting the runners. If you’re a runner of Austin Fit or just a runner here in Austin in general, you can come see us if you have any concerns about foot pain, knee pain, or hip pain and have your running form looked at.

You can go to and find out more information. Thanks. Take care!
